When to go

November-May is drier, and White Beach's water is calm in this season. From June to October the southwest monsoon brings waves to White Beach, and typhoons can stop boats.

Airport to the city

Kalibo Airport (KLO) → Caticlan jetty → boat

The airport with more international routes. Take a bus or van to Caticlan jetty, then a boat to the island port. Combined road, boat and island transfer packages are available.

Time about 2-2.5 hours to your hotelCost check official info for road + boat package fares

Caticlan Airport (MPH) → jetty → boat

Right next to the jetty, the closest airport to the island. Most flights connect via Manila, Cebu or other hubs.

Time about 30 min from airport to the islandCost check official info for boat and jetty fees

Jetty fees & getting to your hotel

Besides the boat fare, terminal and environmental fees may be charged at the jetty. Amounts can change, so check official information and carry pesos. From the island port, e-trikes take you to hotels.

Time about 10-20 min from port to hotelCost shared e-trikes are cheap; private ones from about PHP 150

Getting around

Walking (White Beach)

Restaurants and shops line the White Beach path, so most places are walkable.

E-trikes

Small electric tricycles on the island's roads. Agree on the destination and fare before riding.

Boats (island tours)

Book boats around nearby islands at beach counters or your hotel. Trips are cancelled in bad weather.

Ride-hailing & hotel cars

Ride-hailing apps may be hard to use on the island; asking your hotel for a car is easier.
